Prof. Dr. Someshwar Das Climate Science Excellence Award and Shreemukhi Harivansh Narayan Das Climate Science Award

Prof. Dr. Someshwor Das, retired from Central University of Rajasthan, a resident of Kalaiya Municipality-7, Bara on Friday, 12/12/2019, attracted the outstanding research scholars of the Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of Tribhuvan University to publish works in international standard best journals and encourage research writing. Someshwor Das has established the Climate Science Excellence Award and Shreemukhi Harivansh Narayan Das Climate Science Award. At the signing ceremony organized at the Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, The Chief of the Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal and Prof Dr Someshwar Das jointly signed the agreement. Shreemukhi Harivansh Narayan Das Climate Science Award carries a cash prize of Rs 350,000, while the best student of bachelor's degree in climate science in tu campuses will be awarded Rs 15,000 annually. The Someshwor Das Climate Science Best Work Award carries a cash prize of Rs 450,000 and the best research work related to The Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) will be awarded Rs 25,000 every year.
Dr Someshwar Das, a professor of climate science who also worked at the National Medium Term Weather Forecasting Centre of the Government of India, was also a student of the second batch of climate science at Trichandra Campus.
